Overview

Discovered in 1998 by Iqbal Qadri, the Iqbal Top Trek is one of the most exclusive and lesser-known K2 viewpoint treks in the Karakoram Mountains. The route ascends through rugged alpine terrain to reach Iqbal Top, a high viewpoint overlooking K2 and surrounding Karakoram giants. Although shorter in duration compared to longer glacier treks, the ascent is steep and physically demanding due to altitude and terrain. This trek is ideal for experienced trekkers seeking a unique K2 viewing experience without extended glacier travel or technical mountaineering.

Highlights

K2 viewpoint from Iqbal Top
Panoramic views of K2 and surrounding Karakoram giants
Remote and less-visited K2 viewpoint trek
High-altitude trekking without technical climbing
Dramatic alpine terrain and mountain scenery
Short but challenging trek for experienced trekkers
