The K7 Expedition is designed for experienced mountaineers seeking a demanding 6000m+ climb. The peak requires strong alpine skills, glacier navigation, and proper acclimatization. Highlights
Arrival in Islamabad
Welcome to Pakistan. Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, you will be met by our team and transferred to the group hotel. Altitude: 500m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Travel to Skardu or Chilas
Transfer to Skardu via flight PK-451. In the event of a flight cancellation due to weather, the journey will proceed via an overland drive from Islamabad to Chilas. Altitude: 1,200m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Skardu Sightseeing or Transit
A day dedicated to local sightseeing in Skardu or completing the road journey from Chilas to Skardu. Altitude: 2,300m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Official Briefing and Preparation
Attend the mandatory expedition briefing at the Ministry of Tourism and finalize all technical preparations with the expedition staff. Accommodation: Hotel.
Drive to Hushe Village
A scenic jeep journey from Skardu to Hushe, the final gateway before the trek into the Charakusa Valley. Altitude: 3,048m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Trek to Shaicho
Commencement of the trek from Hushe to the Shaicho campsite, a pleasant walk through local summer pastures. Altitude: 3,300m. Accommodation: Camp.
Trek to Spangser
Continue the ascent from Shaicho to Spangser, gaining altitude as the granite spires of the valley come into view. Altitude: 4,000m. Accommodation: Camp.
Trek to Charakusa Base Camp
Final trek from Spangser to establish the primary Base Camp for K6 and K7. Altitude: 4,600m. Accommodation: Camp.
K7 Peak Climbing Period
A 20-day dedicated window for acclimatization, technical climbing, and summit attempts on K7 Peak. Accommodation: Camp.
Descent to Shaicho
Following the conclusion of the climbing period, the team treks down from the K7 Base Camp to reach Shaicho. Accommodation: Camp.
Return to Hushe and Skardu
A final 4-hour trek down to Hushe village, followed immediately by a jeep drive back to Skardu town.
Return to Islamabad or Chilas
Transfer to Islamabad via flight or, in the event of a cancellation, begin the return drive to Chilas. Accommodation: Hotel.
Drive from Chilas to Islamabad
Complete the final leg of the road journey from Chilas back to the capital city of Islamabad. Accommodation: Hotel.
International Departure
Final transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your return flight home. End of expedition services.
